One Thing story 4

One thing I can take away from this project is how to incorporate still images. Since Grady's Decision does not have an organization building, we used pictures and videos from the Smith's that showed exactly what they do and how they help. I learned that even though we could not get exact b-roll of what they do, we were able to tell the story using pictures and former clips of babies they have helped.

Story 3 One Thing

One thing I can take away from this project is setting our surroundings. In our interview with Jaime, the setting seems a little irrelevant and bland. It would have been a little bit different to set her up in a setting with a back drop that was a little bit more relevant to the sound bites.

Second story One Thing

One thing to take away from this story is to plan things out to get finished in the same day. When we were abel to plan all of our interviews and getting the b-roll in the same day it made it easier for us to go through the footage and find out if we needed to redo any shots. This has a lot to do with time management. For the next one I would like to have a similar situation to be able to plan everything in one day.

One Thing from Story One

One thing I have to say that I learned from this first story is to be creative. Taking what could be a boring and factual story into something that can be interesting just based off of the shots and sound bites can make all the difference. With mixing up the shots in this sequence, Suzanne and I were able to increase what we thought would look good and catch attention to this piece. Taking something that is important to the university and allowing students to "want" to see it is what I think I took away from this first piece.
